GREEN-SPECTOR NETS THREE IN VASSAR SOCCER DEBUT
Brewers win men's soccer opener 5-1 over Medgar Evers
Green-Spector tallied a third goal less than two
minutes into the second half to give the Brewers a commanding 3-1 advantage. VC
made it 4-1 when Green-Spector set up a goal by sophomore defender Michael
Kennett (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.). Junior forward Aldis Butler (Larkspur, Calif.)
added a goal for the 5-1 final.
Sophomore Ancil Steepe (Brooklyn, N.Y.) made 12 saves,
including two penalty kicks for the Cougars, who were outshot 37-7 for the
game.
Vassar plays at USMMA-Kings Point Saturday afternoon
at 12:30.
