Head Coach Lisl Prater-Lee

Lisl Prater-Lee joined the Vassar athletic staff in 1993. She has steadily increased the squad size and has helped several students achieve success in the pool.

After graduating from Oberlin (Ohio) College with bachelor's degrees in Sociology and Sport Psychology, Prater-Lee attended the University of Iowa. She served as graduate assistant coach for the women's program, which competes in the Big 10.

Upon completion of her master's in Sport Psychology, she returned to Oberlin in 1991. She guided the Yoemen for two years before taking the head coaching position at Vassar.

Prater-Lee also works at various summer camps and clinics.

 

 

 

 

Assistant Coach Paul Kueterman

After serving as the head swim coach at Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois, Paul Kueterman joins Vassar College as the assistant men’s and women’s swimming and diving coach. Head coach Lisl Prater-Lee made the announcement.

A 2002 graduate of Millikin University, Kueterman was a four-year member of the swim team. Following graduation, Kueterman served as the assistant swim coach at The College of Wooster in Ohio from 2002-2004. He then returned to his alma mater, where he served as head coach from 2004-2007. At Millikin, he coached one All-American and one Honorable Mention All-American as well as coaching athletes to All-CCIW honors five times.

Previous to his Vassar appointment, Kueterman was the assistant swim coach at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where the women’s squad won the 2007-2008 WIAC Championships.

Kueterman holds his B.S. in Exercise Science from Millikin University, and received his M.S. in Sport Administration from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

 

Diving Coach Tom Albright

Bringing with him 34 years of experience as a diving coach at the high school and AAU club level, Tom Albright joined the Vassar staff as a diving coach in the fall of 2003. Before joining Vassar, Albright coached men’s and women’s diving at the University of Albany-SUNY. He has also served as the Hudson Valley Diving Chairperson for the Empire State Games.

Albright, who currently resides in Marlboro, NY, received his B.S. in Political Science and History from the University of Scranton and his M.S. in Education from SUNY-New Paltz.
