VASSAR DROPS MEN'S TENNIS OPENER TO NYU 7-0
Thompson leads Violets with wins at #1 singles, #2 doubles

 

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Senior Michael Thompson (Toronto, Ont.) picked up wins at #1 singles and #2 doubles to lead New York University to a 7-0 men's tennis victory over Vassar College Thursday afternoon at Joss Courts.

 

Thompson defeated senior Jake Maslikowski (Scottsdale, Ariz.) 6-2, 6-1, and teamed up with freshman Kyle Engstrom (San Antonio, Texas) to defeat juniors Andrew Ezekowitz (Woodbridge, Conn.) and John Liszewski (So. Windsor, Conn.) 8-3 in doubles.

 

With the win, NYU improves to 1-0. Vassar falls to 0-1.
