Brewers hand Hawks first loss of season, improve to 4-0

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Senior Diya Uberoi (Princeton, N.J.) defeated Kerry Farrell (Rockville Center, N.Y.) 6-2, 6-0 and teamed up with freshman Debbie Sharnak (E. Brunswick, N.J.) to defeat Jen Larson (Port Jervis, N.Y.) and Amie Larson (Port Jervis, N.Y.) in #2 doubles 8-2 as Vassar College defeated SUNY New Paltz in women's tennis Wednesday afternoon at Joss Courts.

Sharnak also won her #3 singles match against Amanda Rosario (Bronx, N.Y.) 6-0, 6-0. Sophomore Katy Robinette (Pine Bluff, Ark.) took her #2 singles match over Becky Sparacin (Goshen, N.Y.) 6-1, 6-3 and teamed up with freshman Kelly Graham (Kennebunk, Maine) to defeat Farrell and Rosario 8-2 in #1 doubles.

Vassar improves to 4-0, New Paltz drops to 7-1.
