Women's
volleyball team loses first game of the year

 

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Sophomore hitter Lindsay Gloster (Middletown, N.Y.) had 20 kills to lead Western Connecticut State University to a 3-1 victory over Vassar College in women's volleyball Wednesday evening in Kenyon Hall.

 

Freshman setter Kassie Moore (Polasset, Mass.) collected 20 assists and junior setter Lindsay Rick (Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y.) added 17 for the Colonials (3-3).

 

Senior hitter McKenzie Johnson (Phoenix, Ariz.) paced the Brewers with 20 kills. Junior hitter Caroline Dubinsky (Houston, Texas) chipped in with 16 kills and three blocks. Vassar (4-1) is currently ranked second in New York State.
